PENSEC 3rd Year Students Owe GHc 54,658.18 School Fees - Headmaster

The headmaster of Pentecost Secondary School (PENSEC) in Koforidua in the Eastern Region, Mr. Peter Atta Gyamfi has averred the third year students of the school who are currently writing their West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) has accumulated unpaid school fees of   GHc 54,658.18.

According to him, some parents think the ''Free Senior High School'' policy of the government which the first year students benefited could have gained the last year students as well so they find it difficult in settling their wards fees arrears.

Mr. Gyamfi said government has restricted headmasters preventing a candidate from writing an  examination due to an unpaid arrears so he needs to find strategies to let the accrued debts settled before completion.

He then advised parents to be supportive to their children education since the government is doing it maximum best but seems parent's role has been slacked.

Government reduces school fees by 50% for 3rd year SHS students

He further advised colleague headmasters to find a way of structuring Parent Teachers Association (PTA) by not involving the entire school to garner dues since government does not have upper hand in the association thou it supports such affiliation in schools.

Mr. Peter Atta Gyamfi hailed government of the ''Free Senior High School'' implementation since it has taken heavy burden from they headmasters, parents and the students as well.
