A young man of 20 years has been arrested by the Eastern Region Police for allegedly portraying himself as a military man in military uniform.
Rashid Muhammad was found at the Peduase lodge in military uniform his actions became suspicious to the police patrol team and upon interrogation admitted of impersonating a military personnel.
According to Asp Ebenezer Tetteh the PRO of the Eastern Regional Police command the suspect further explained
that he got the uniform from one Sowah and therefore the police decided to detain him for further investigation.
According to Asp Tetteh few minutes after his arrest seven young men dressed in army green trousers and T shirts trooped to the station and demanded the release of their leader Rashid.
He continued that the seven boys said they belonged to a group called the United Army which was formed by the suspect Rashid but could not tell the mission of the said group which sounded suspicious.
The police have arrested and detained these seven young men to assist investigations into the matter and further development will be communicated to the public said Asp Ebenezer Tetteh.
