
A 29-year-old female teacher has been found dead in her room at Asesewa in the Eastern Region. According to the Eastern Regional Police command, the Public Relations Officer ASP Ebenezer Tetteh, the landlord Mr. Moses Tetteh reported to the police that the deceased Regina Mintah informed him that she was travelling on the April 15, 2018 to her hometown for the holiday but on the April 18, he [the landlord] saw house flies and foul scent coming from the deceased room.
He continued that the landlord said he called the phone of the deceased Regina but there was no answer so the door which was then locked was broken into only to find the teacher semi decomposed kneeling by her bed with her dead on the bed and blood stains in the room.
Asp Tetteh added that the CID searched the room but nothing suspicious was found. The decomposing body has therefore been sent to the Asesewa Government Hospital morgue for preservation awaiting conveyance to the Police Hospital for postmortem examination.
