Obooho to Benefit a Warehouse - DCE


Obooho, a surbub of Begoro, a farming area in the Fanteakwa North District of Eastern Region to be benefited a warehouse, averred the District Chief Executive (DCE), Charles Oware Tweneboah.

According to the DCE, as part of the government's project' "One District One Warehouse", Obooho will be chanced to settle that of Fanteakwa North District in order to store farming perishable commodities, especially tomatoes, cabbage, green paper, among others for not going waste.

He said, most of the goods which farmers in the district produces every year dissipates, which reduce profits of farmers, in that order, a warehouse keenly to be built to resolve such problem.

Answering a question on why Obooho was chosen to situate the warehouse, "Obooho was carefully selected because roads leading to farming communities in the district pass through such area which will be much easier for farmers to access the warehouse". He explicated. 

In an interview with Obiba Nana Adjei, the DCE, Charles Oware Tweneboah said, 4 acres of land has been secured yet to make payment to land owners. 

He reviewed source of funds of the warehouse infrastructure to be "One District One Million Dollars" Government of Ghana promised given each district in the country. 
"Everything is on course, the warehouse will be soon built". He concluded.

Obooho is one of the areas in Ghana which top tomatoes plantation annually.

Obooho is geographically located in the Fanteakwa North District, about 10 minutes drive from Begoro, between Begoro and Ahomahomaso, Nkankama, etc.
