The second edition of the Eastern Region Media Excellence Award is scheduled to be launched on 25th May 2018 at the Koforidua Guest Hotel.
In an interview with the Publick Relation Officer (PRO) Quarshie Tetteh Joshua, the second edition being ERMEA '18 will be launched on the said date with the theme "celebrating excellence in radio broadcasting".
He continued that, Eastern Region Media Excellence Award'18 is bringing in new beneficial ideas to make ERMEA credible and exceptional compared to other media award schemes.
"We have added new categories to the last year's 15 categories and have also got a new voting pattern which will all be unveiled on the launching" Tetteh said.

The P.R.O though did not explain this year's criteria of nominating but said they have come up with a new strategy which will enable the award scheme better.
Furthermore, he explained their calendar that, the team have a monitory members who monitored all programs on various radio stations across the length and breadth of the region in the months of January and February which extended to the middle of March. They also embarked on a radio tour in the month of April and will launch the event in May. June will be for nominations and voting will start early July. The climax of the 2nd edition of ERMEA will be in August.
Mr. Tetteh, P.R.O expressed his gratitude to all media houses who have endorsed the Eastern Region Media Excellence Award, asked every media houses to participate because it is the only regional base media award scheme to project the East and promised that ERMEA will show difference in media awarding schemes to keep their hallmark.
Joshua concluded with their Slogan, "ERMEA,. ..from the East. ...by the East. .....for the East".
