Begoro Today: Rumour; Former DCE to be appointed father of Odumankoma Ahenfie

The formal District Chief Executive of Fanteakwa in the Eastern Region, Mr. Abass Fuseini is said to be appointed as the Father of the popular tourist place in the Fanteakwa District, The Rocky Paradise (“Odumankoma Ahenfie”) which is popular known as “Aboabo”.

According to the Rumour, a committee which sat on the development of the Aboabo Tourist Attraction recently saw the keen to make the formal District Chief Executive (DCE) father of the place since it is believed the highly rated tourist place was discovered and unveiled under his regime.

The rumour said the “Aboabo o, aboabo” picnic which has lost it value for couple of years now will be massively organised and celebrated this year which date will be soon updated.
Odmakoma Ahenefie is a cluster of rocks shaped in the form of huge umbrellas believed to be one of the finest tourist attractions which has been discovered in Begoro in the Fanteakwa District in the Eastern Region.

The rocks are also said to have possessed spiritual powers in ancient times where the sick and others seeking fortune just had to touch to have their wishes fulfilled.

However, due to centuries of exploiting the forest near Begoro on the Togo-Akuapem-Kwahu Mountain Range, the wild animals migrated from the place and the rocks also lost their spiritual powers, according to traditionalists in the area.
